In 2019, SportChassis partnered with the Western Oklahoma Workforce Development Board (WOWDB) and the Oklahoma Office of Workforce Development (OOWD) to implement three programs within the company, WIOA: Work Experience, On-the-Job Training and Registered Apprenticeship. SportChassis applied for and received two apprenticeship grants of $10,000 each to help better develop a pipeline of skilled workers for the company.
In July 2019, the first work experience began with a goal of creating opportunities to assist job-seekers facing barriers-to-employment gain professional experience. With the help of WOWDB and OOWD, SportChassis is putting steps in place which will continue growth of a strong, talented workforce to build their products.
SportChassis is planning to initiate events which will support and positively impact the surrounding community including: Veteran Appreciation and Recruiting, and Teacher Lunch and Learn. The partnerships with WOWDB and OOWD have provided the company opportunities to continue business growth and to share the company’s culture in a way that enhances the community.
