In August 2018, Ditch Witch began a training program in partnership with their local workforce development area to hire welders. The program helped Ditch Witch find new talent while allowing trainees to become full-time employees once they completed the program.
The Western Oklahoma Workforce Board paid 50% of the trainee wages over a 9 week training session. During the course of the program 9 participants were enrolled in training
Workforce offices in Enid, Stillwater, and Ponca City partnered to help this employer meet their workforce needs by referring clients to this opportunity.
Based in Perry, Ditch Witch has been in operation since 1949 and employs more than 1600 people at their facility.
