Success Story: 36th Studio West Salon
36th Studio West Salon-Central
Shanan Hull and Brittany Hubble, owners of 36th Studio West Salon, provide a 6-month on-the-job training program to help stylists gain the education and professional skills needed to thrive in a successful salon. Shanan and Brittany, in collaboration with their local workforce area, provide a learning environment for hair stylists who are the new to the industry. Shanan and Brittany help inspire trainees to become leaders and entrepreneurs.
As proponents of Oklahoma’s workforce system, Shanan and Brittany share information about the Oklahoma Works employer partner experience with other business owners to encourage mentorships within their own industries.
As of today, six of the clients placed in 36th Studio West’s on-the-job training program are still employed there. In May 2019, 36th Studio West was named “Best Salon” in 405 Magazine. Shanan has indicated that part of her salon’s success is their great partnership with Oklahoma Works.
