What are Impact Partnerships?
Impact partnerships are partnerships between businesses, from the same industry and in a shared labor market region, who work with education, workforce development, economic development and community organizations to address workforce needs in their industry. Oklahoma will have meetings in 5 cities across Oklahoma in late March/early April announcing these including how organizations can qualify.
Dates/Locations:
March 25-Tulsa Technology Center Riverside Campus at 1pm
March 28-Rose State College Student Center in Midwest City at 1pm
March 30-Cameron University in Lawton at 1pm
March 31-Kiamichi Technology Center in McAlester at 1pm
April 4-Autry Technology Center in Enid at 1pm
Who should convene our Industry Impact Partnership?
Industry led conveners bring together partners to work on issues such as workforce needs, infrastructure needs, supply chain issues, or access to capital. Business leaders from a single industry collaborate in making their industry more competitive. They align with public partners such as K-12, community colleges, workforce offices, Chambers of Commerce, community-based organizations, adult education, universities, or career techs.
When will the grant applications open?
We hope to launch applications April 1, 2022.
How much funding will be available to awardees?
Applicants can apply for up to $100,000.
Why are these important?
They help strengthen Oklahoma companies and help Oklahomans find better career opportunities that provide higher wages and better opportunities. Employers find the workers they need while workers find jobs with a career pathway.
